4 Winter Lip Colours to Try

4 Winter Lip Colours to Tryfeatured

What is it with cold months that makes me want to try different lip colours? Do you feel the same? Here are some ideas for your next lip experiment (that came out wrong).

Matte Red

NARS velvet matte lip pencil in Mysterious Red and three other lip colours for winter.

An all-time classic that looks even better with pale winter skin. I’m using NARS Velvet Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red, it is the most comfortable matte lip product I have tried, and the colour payoff is unbelievable. MAC’s Russian Red is another favourite.

Rusty Pink

H&M Cream Lipstick in Rust Me and three other winter lip colours on A Handful of Stories.

A slightly unusual orangey pink I found in H&M’s new beauty section. It’s called Rust Me and it is creamy, long-lasting and beautiful. Heard good things about Charlotte Tilbury’s Stoned Rose too, but das espensive.

Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in Toasted Brown and three other winter lip colours on A Handful of Stories.

I was still a baby in the 90s, so this was my first attempt at brown lips. I went out and bought a brown from my favourite drugstore range, Maybelline ColorSensational, and it’s in the shade Toasted Brown. What do you think? Not sure it’s the best colour for me personally, but it’s fun to try new things.

H&M Velvet lip cream in Screen Siren and three other lip colours for the colder months.

I love dark lips in summer, but winter is the time to really go crazy with the deep shades. I’m obsessed with rich crimson lips, but this H&M Velvet Lip Cream in Screen Siren was a disappointment formula-wise. I recommend MAC in Darkside or Sleek in Vamp.

What’s your favourite cold weather lip colour?
